In 2011, Lorna had the pleasure of being commissioned to make one of a kind (OOAK) leather dolls for Debbie Garrett‘s (avid doll enthusiast, historian, collector and author of three books on collecting black dolls) online doll club’s annual club doll.
Previously, Debbie has had some of the world’s foremost doll artists create dolls for her club, some of whom include: My Twinn, Laura Tuzio Ross, Lorna Miller-Sands, Madame Alexander, and Ping Lau.
i am so blessed to have Lorna’s dolls in my collection. thanks Lorna!

I am one of the fortunate club members of WLBD to own one of he 2011 Club dolls. My doll , just like all of them, are Masterpieces ! I cannot believe I own one and have her under glass because she is a precious gem.
Lorna is a true artist- creative and dedicated to bringing life to her dolls. In addition, she really wants the new parent to be a part of the development process and enjoy her creation. I have used my doll’s picture as my profile picture on Facebook from time to time and always receive questions about where I got her.
Lorna, thanks again for sharing your gift with all of us !
I’m also blessed to have one of Lorna’s WLBD dolls in my collection. She is beautiful and truly a work of art! She is featured in one of my blog posts: http://roxannesdolls.blogspot.com/2012/03/wlbd-club-doll.html
